Releasing Victim Mentality
We all have stories which we tell ourselves. We heard these stories from our parents or teachers. Other kids may have bullied us and told us these stories. We believed them to be true. These stories influenced our self esteem. Whenever someone hurt us we tell ourselves oh woe is me. I will never be lovable. I will never amount to anything. People always treat me badly. These are the things we align to. So these things keep showing up over and over again. People don't understand how energy works. By the Law of Attraction when you say or even think these things we attract them. We receive more situations which to feel like a victim. To overcome things like codependency and addictions it involves taking a good, hard look at these stories which we tell ourselves. It involves shifting our perspective to see things in a different way. It involves releasing these stories. Then we replace them with new one's. We can use affirmations by telling ourselves we are lovable. We are worthy. We aren't victims. Once you stop aligning to those situations then new one's can take their place. How do we do this? By showing gratitude for small things. By walking outside and feeling the sun on your face and saying thank you for this beautiful day which I woke up to. By hearing a song and being grateful for that song and having that song in our heart. That is how we shift out of this lower energy of victim mentality. We do this by forgiving people who have hurt us. We don't do this for them but for us. This is to free us from the self imposed prison we have been in. Someone told me back in 1995 to stop rehearsing pain. Release it so that it no longer has power over you. This is fundamental to self growth. Everything that has happened in our lives has happened for a reason. Look for the lessons in everything and everyone. This is fundamental to shifting and growing. I will be contributing to this blog a few times a week. Look for an event I'll post here and on social media for a group to meet to help people to heal themselves.
